Copenhagen Update #1
We spare no expense to update Chicago on what we’re doing! Seriously, Copenhagen has been flooded with olice, security and Secret Service agents. Everyone here is excited about Oprah, Michelle Obama or Pele. We still like to think that our presence is making a difference…

Let’s see:
Of the 6 NoGamesChicago protesters who got locked up only 2 of them are actually from Chicago.
So much for representing the city, ey?
This video and site is absolutely worthless. Wake up. Not a single IOC member in Copenhagen gives a single thought to “No games Chicago”.
Your mission is a self-serving fabrication. Your impact is non-existent. “No Games Chicago” will have absolutely no impact on the outcome of the IOC voters. To think anything else is pure hallucination.
This video makes me feel sorry for you. Wake up. Not a single IOC member in Copenhagen gives a single thought to “No games Chicago”.

By the way, the “moderation” of comments demonstrates further what a sad self-serving hallucination this is site is.
Yeah Rachel, I don’t really understand these nuts. It’s the same circle jerk of Ben Joravasky types that haunt the reader site and yap about TIF’s or some other unintelligible useless shit.
I do like how they claim 85% of Chicago is against the Olympics. It’s so lulzy that it hurts.
The youths who vandalized the Picasso were not part of No Games Chicago protesters. Just to set the record straight.
“Get the Truth?” Who is really benefiting from “No Games Chicago!” Is it you? Is it Chicago? or is it Tom Tresser’s career?
Tom Tresser recently admitted in an interview that he’s only been on the losing side of all of his previous campaigns. So it seems this time conveniently, and sheepishly, he figured Chicago 2016 has a 75% chance of losing vs. the 3 other bid cities.
Think about this folks. He does not care about the Olympics. This is just a meal ticket . He took the easy odds, jumped on the hot button item with lots of press. He pushed a simpleminded “anti-Daley” message and now a nice ride to Copenhagen from all the “No Games Champions”.
He’s banking on the easy 75% odds of a Chicago loss spun into his fictitious victory. If Chicago loses, he benefits! He will boast “No Games Chicago” was responsible, and without a doubt next week go find some new campaign to jump on, riding the “success” of “No Games Chicago”.
Get the Truth? Tom Tresser is on a free ride European vacation right now hoping our city, our mayor, and our president fail.
“Think about this folks. He does not care about the Olympics. This is just a meal ticket . He took the easy odds, jumped on the hot button item with lots of press. He pushed a simpleminded “anti-Daley” message and now a nice ride to Copenhagen from all the “No Games Champions”.”
Because not everyone in the city is oblivious to the fact that Daley is like a hungry dog and the olympics is the ultimate steak. I know fist hand how his corrupt ways affect the city and it’s citizens. The parking meter scam, high taxes, the layoffs, the hiring truck scandals, the unpaved roads, the yearly CTA doomsdays, the gentrification that his real estate cronies get away with. Face it, not everyone in this city supports this feeble minded olympics. A lot of people here are hurting because of Daley’s policies. And it’s just gonna get worse if the olympics do come to Chicago.
So Rachel, you love the way that our City government determines what to do, largely leaving City residents out of public policy decisions? Who is feeble minded?
In life, you need to take risks for whatever you believe in. I think that if you believe in democracy and people having a say in their government, you will understand how Daley administration excluded people from discussing and debating significant public policy issues and their ramifications. The Olympic bid is no different. I find hope that ordinary people from all walks of life came together to take on the Olympic bid because they found the participation of the public to be lacking and the risks too high.
Rachel, if we’re unfortunate enough to get saddled with these Olympics, and since you’re obviously rabid for us to get them, can we who don’t want them forward our increased tax bills to you for payment? You will cover the increase for us, won’t you? out of devotion to the Olympics in Chicago cause?
Daley’s legacy will always be of corruption, greed and total disregard and disrespect for the citizens of Chicago, and the olympics will never save him from that.
